PATIENTS REQUIRING PGT-M FOR UK DONORS
At Sussex Sperm Bank (SxSB) we understand that not all fertility journeys are the same and sometimes it is necessary for patients to have further genetic testing for a great variety of reasons. This can be a challenging and stressful times and here at Sussex Sperm Bank we are committed to making this process as seamless and stress free as possible.
We are happy to work with your treating clinic to arrange for the necessary donor consent paperwork and coordinate a DNA sample for PGT-M set-up. This is usually in the form of a saliva or blood sample, however at times a sperm sample may be required.

We are happy to work with your treating clinic to arrange for the necessary donor consent paperwork and coordinate a DNA sample for PGT-M set-up. This is usually in the form of a saliva or blood sample, however at times a sperm sample may be required.
- Patients treating clinic will contact Sussex Sperm Bank initially.
- The clinic will firstly request your selected donor’s genetic information which they will pass to their own genetic team. Steps 1 & 2 is a Free of Charge service.
- If your treating clinics Genetic Team deem it necessary for additional donor screening to be carried out, we will then liaise and coordinate the arrangements with your clinic and the donor. The cost of the coordination service is £250 plus VAT and will need to be paid prior to the arrangements being made.
- In circumstances where sperm samples are required the cost of the vial must be paid for in advance, together the family slot fee and the coordination service charge. The cost of the vial and family slot is as advertised on our website at the time of enquiry.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please be aware that enquiries for PGT-M and the payment of the coordination service charge/vials for PGT-M/Family slot with donors do not guarantee that the donor may be available at a later date.
If you wish to guarantee use of the donor it is advisable to purchase samples & a family slot for treatment in the future.
